Here we are again. I’m sitting in a lovely hotel on a lovely beach on the Atlantic Ocean. I’m alternating between feelings of optimism and doubt…getting excited about seeing the finish line area set up on the boardwalk while at the same time wondering…will I get this far?
Tomorrow, we’ll go pick up our numbers and timing chips (and swag) at the Expo. Tomorrow, we’ll run a few miles to work out the kinks from the drive and some of the nerves. Tomorrow, we’ll do a little sightseeing and possibly even drive the course. Tomorrow, we’ll go to Carrabba’s for our customary pre-race meal (yum).
And the day after? Well, my friends, that is the day I’ve been waiting and working for. It is MARATHON DAY. As the race slogan says…sham-rock on!
